GCC plant
is located in a strategic point at Khor Khuwair area of Ras Al Khaimah
one of the Northern Emirates of the UAE and is about 1.5 Km from Saqr
Port.
The
plant
is located at an important geographical position, about 550 meters from
the Gulf which facilitates the shipping to Oman, Qatar, Iran, Saudi,
Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE and The Iraq’s market (at the meantime is one of
the strategic market).
The
plant
is only 550m from the foot of the limestone quarry which forms more
than 80% of the raw material of cement manufacturing. This will
guarantee supplying the plant with raw material for billions of years.
Its proximity to Gulf is an added advantage of direct loading of
bulk cement to the ship at a rate of 550 t/h (around the clock) through
a unique pneumatic system.
In
2002 GCC had discovered the Adhan quarry of Silica which could be
enough for a long time and it is 14% from the raw materials.
